Dream

I'm at an outdoor political gathering with Jennifer, Herb Kohl and a number of other politicos. I walk to the house where we're gathered. It's snowing and I see a man approach with a bow and arrow. He shoots into the blizzard. He and I go into the kitchen, and he tries making a pass at me. I exit, and ask Herb, "Who's the guy in your house?" "Oh, he's a friend," replies Herb. We continue with a political discussion.

I'm in he basement of the house on Cambridge. There are new lint traps I've seen advertised on TV. The commercial features slow motion ribbons of lint swirling with your wash load as the announcer asks if you want that in your laundry. There is a set of three containers that you fill with a liquid detergent or something, and throw them in your washer.

The stationary tubs are full of water. I begin putting a load of darks in the washer. First a pair of pants, then some pink towels, when I realize that I didn't put in the detergent. Jennifer's told me I need to add the detergent first and let some water run before I put in the laundry.

I do that, but suddenly the washer is full enough that it'll overflow if I add laundry. The drainage side of the stationary tub is full, so I can’t just allow the washer to drain, or the tub will overflow. I need to bail some water out to the empty side of the tubs, but I have nothing which with to bail. The laundry basket has holes in the sides, so I can't use that.

There's a commercial for an event at the Metrodome. In the commercial, two semi trucks pull side by side. On one truck, the flatbed is covered with a tarp. The other contains palettes of breakfast cereal. The announcer indicates that joining the truck full of breakfast cereal will make life better and the boy struggling with a decision decides to take that course of action. An unseen crane lifts his palette from the covered truck to the top of the payload of cereal, and he rides off into happily ever after.

As the trucks drive away, they reveal a tall brown shelving unit where I'm storing my plastic pitchers and cups. I use those to bail out the washer into the tubs.

Miscellaneous crap I think about throughout the day, and need to get out of my head.
